Emme and Joe are the definition of fun and that was showcased throughout the whole day! Their goal was to not only make sure that they had the best day ever, but that everyone in attendance had an absolutely amazing time as well! From the impromptu oyster bar during cocktail hour, to the never ending party on the dance floor, and wrapping the night with an all out, epic bubble gun battle between Emme and Joe, there was never even a chance for a dull movement to creep in.

Having a Washington wedding in the fall is always a gamble, so we had a plan in place for any and all weather conditions. We ended up using draping and curtain lights in the Dairy Room to create division between the ceremony on one side, and Dinner and Dancing on the other. Fortunately, the sun did make an appearance which allowed us to utilize Pickering Barn’s courtyard to host cocktail hour outside.

Emme and Joe brought in so many personal touches that were custom fit to them and perfectly curated to reflect their personalities. They had temporary tattoos of their faces, disposable cameras, and a game table made available for those looking for an alternative to the dance floor. Even the youngest guests in attendance were not forgotten, with busy bags ready to go to entertain them all night long.

All of the paper designs and signage were handmade along with the photo booth backdrop and favors. And serving as the guest book, they used postcards that they had collected from their travels so that guests could send them their best wishes in the most special way.
